System Upgrades and Changes

We’re excited to bring you a fresh update to BastionGPT, enhancing both its appearance and functionality for an improved experience. This update is rolling out to all users and services over the month of April.

Introducing Response Modes

One of the most noticeable updates is the introduction of the "response mode" feature, which replaces the old creativity slider. This new feature provides greater flexibility in how you interact with BastionGPT:

Auto Detect: This mode automatically identifies the most suitable response model based on an analysis of the text, working to ensure the high-quality responses with minimal errors.

Exact: Produces straightforward responses with no creative interpretation, akin to the previous "precise" setting or 0.0 on the creativity scale.

Analytical: This mode takes approximately 10-15 seconds longer than other modes, but is ideal for generating detailed and logical analyses, perfect for complex problem-solving tasks. This mode follows directions more reliably than other modes.

Creative: Encourages more innovative thinking, making it ideal for tasks such as identifying differential diagnoses or crafting educational content.

With this update, you can now edit the response mode (formerly known as "Creativity") at any point during your chat, not just at the beginning of the chat. Additional response mode capabilities are being developed, including additional response modes, as well as the ability to set a preferred AI model such as Gemini 2.5 Pro, OpenAI o3, GPT-4o).

User Interface Enhancements

Settings Access: The settings button has moved to create a less cluttered interface. It is now located in the upper right-hand corner. Simply click the dropdown arrow next to your name to access options for data backup, words generated per response (available with the Professional Plus plan), and the billing portal.

Copy Functionality: The copy button is now located at the bottom left of the output generated, making it easier to quickly capture and use the information you need.

New "Jump to Top" and "Jump to Bottom" buttons: To help get to the top or bottom of your chats more quickly, you can now press these buttons.

Enhanced Mobile Experience

BastionGPT is now more mobile-friendly than ever! Whether you're using a phone or another mobile device, you can easily navigate your chats and saved prompts:

To view your chat history and saved prompts, select the sidebar icons just above the text box on the left and right-hand side of the screen.

Major Enhancements to the Transcription (AI Scribe) Service - COMING SOON

Later in April, we will be making a major update to our transcription service:

- more intuitive to use

- ability to view past transcriptions

- increasing maximum transcription time from 90 to 240 minutes

- allowing you to transcribe back-to-back sessions

- improving the experience on mobile devices

- adding new transcription modes.
